My work has been showing in the exhibition, Tracing Passages, at the Gray Loft Gallery. The exhibition will be closing this weekend. As a gesture of thanks to all who have supported my work over the years, I will be offering a 10% discount on the work in the exhibition during the closing reception to be held that day. The reception will be from 5 to 7:30 PM with a special preview from 3 to 5.

Drawn & Quartered & John Cage

 

My personal journals are a chest of gifts:…  I just open the book and each page either informs my journey or it’s torn out of its binding, then torn into quarters and added to a collection of materials for a large painting collage in which each scrap is glued to Belgian linen with acrylic paint as  the adhesive.   

All doors open, thanks in part to John Cage, for ‘chance operation’ guiding the work to its finish, It’s closure,  e.g. possibly burning off any loose  edges of paper that have escaped the glue, ashes falling to gravity, tracing my autobiography —
